One Leyte for Sara Duterte is a voluntary movement of individuals from Leyte and across Eastern Visayas who believe in the importance of unity, civic responsibility, and freedom of choice in shaping the future of the nation.
Citizens have come together with a shared purpose: to help build a stronger Philippines and protect the future of the next generation.
Eastern Visayas — composed of Leyte, Southern Leyte, Biliran, Samar, Eastern Samar, and Northern Samar — represents a region with shared heritage, resilience, and civic responsibility.
Across the region, citizens are coming together in unity and volunteerism to support responsible leadership and safeguard the future of the next generation.
One Leyte for Sara Duterte began as a grassroots gathering of individuals from Leyte and across Eastern Visayas who share a common belief: that the people of the region should always have the freedom to express their own voice and convictions about the future of the nation.
For many years, it has often been assumed that the people of Eastern Visayas move politically as one unified bloc under a single political influence. While the region shares a strong cultural identity and history, its citizens hold diverse perspectives and aspirations for the future of the country.
Members of the movement came together through voluntary participation, community dialogue, and civic engagement to demonstrate that the people of Leyte and the wider Region VIII stand for unity, responsible leadership, and the protection of future generations.
Through the spirit of volunteerism and bayanihan, the movement continues to grow as individuals from different sectors and communities unite with a shared purpose: to help strengthen the nation and safeguard the future of the next generation.
The movement brings together citizens across communities to strengthen the nation.
Membership is based on voluntary participation and civic responsibility.
Citizens join to help safeguard the future of the next generation.
The following principles reflect the heart, purpose, and direction of the movement.
This movement is built entirely on voluntary participation — no force, no pressure, no obligation.
Every member chooses to support through their own free will. That is what makes this movement organic, genuine, and powerful.
Real support cannot be commanded — it must come from personal belief, conviction, and purpose. Each action, each post, and each participation reflects a conscious decision to stand for something meaningful.
Because it is voluntary, it is real. Because it is organic, it is strong. Because it comes from free will, it will last.
“Ibalik ang Tapang at Malasakit” represents the kind of leadership and movement that combines strength and compassion.
“Tapang” is the courage to stand firm, make difficult decisions, and protect what is right — even in the face of challenges.
“Malasakit” is the genuine care for the people — understanding their struggles, prioritizing their welfare, and acting with empathy.
This principle is not just a slogan. It is a call to restore a balance where leadership is both strong and humane.
Supporting this means believing in a direction that is guided by courage, grounded in compassion, and committed to the future.
It is a commitment to a leadership that does not choose between strength and compassion — but carries both.
Unity and Bayanihan represent the strength of people coming together for a common purpose.
Unity brings individuals, groups, and communities into one direction — not by force, but through shared belief and collective will.
Bayanihan reflects the Filipino spirit of helping one another, especially in times of need. It is the willingness to contribute, support, and stand side by side for the greater good.
Together, they form the foundation of a movement that is not driven by one, but strengthened by many.
This principle reminds us that real progress is achieved when people move as one — with purpose, cooperation, and shared responsibility.
It is the reminder that no one stands alone — progress is built together.
Community Leadership represents responsibility, service, and guidance within the movement.
Leadership in this community is not about authority or position — it is about the willingness to serve, organize, and lead by example.
True leaders help bring people together, provide direction, and ensure that actions remain aligned with the purpose and principles of the movement.
It is through responsible leadership that unity is maintained, participation is encouraged, and the integrity of the community is protected.
This principle reminds us that leadership is not claimed — it is earned through action, trust, and commitment to the people.
It is the kind of leadership that serves first, leads with purpose, and stands with the people.
Service to the Nation reflects the responsibility of every individual to take part in shaping the future.
The nation is facing challenges that require not only leadership, but also the active participation of its people. Change cannot rely on a few — it must begin with individuals who choose to stand, act, and contribute.
True service starts with voluntary action. It is not imposed, but willingly given by those who believe that the nation deserves better.
When individuals step forward through free will, their actions become meaningful, and their contribution becomes part of a greater movement.
This principle emphasizes that saving and strengthening the nation is a shared responsibility — and when people come together with purpose, unity, and commitment, real change becomes possible.
Together, through voluntary service and collective effort, we can build, protect, and uplift the nation.
The strength of a nation begins with the willingness of its people to serve.
Protecting the Next Generation is a responsibility that connects directly to how we serve the nation today.
If we choose to remain passive, the challenges we face now may become heavier burdens for our children and the generations that follow. The future they inherit will be shaped by the actions we take — or fail to take — in the present.
We do not want to see our children, and the children of our children, struggle in a future defined by hardship, uncertainty, and missed opportunities. They deserve a nation that is stable, secure, and full of hope.
They are not only part of the future — they are the very reason we act today.
Through voluntary participation, unity, and a shared sense of responsibility, we have the power to change the direction of that future. When individuals choose to take part and contribute, even in small ways, it creates a ripple that strengthens the nation over time.
This principle reminds us that protecting the next generation begins with us — with the choices we make, the actions we take, and the willingness to stand for something better.
If we act together, with purpose and free will, we can build a future where our children grow, thrive, and live in a nation stronger than the one we have today.
The future of our children is not something we wait for — it is something we build starting today.
